3. How We Share Information

We may share your information with:

  • Service Providers: Third parties, including but not limited to, for hosting, analytics, payment processing, quantum hardware & simulation (e.g., qBraid, AWS, Microsoft, IonQ, Rigetti, IQM, Quantinuum, Infleqtion, QuEra, Pasqal, etc.), or other operational needs. For details on quantum execution data sharing, see Section 10.
  • Legal Compliance: When required by law, regulation, or government request, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Quantum Rings, our users, or others.
  • Business Transfers: In mergers, acquisitions, or asset sales, your information may be transferred to the new entity.

We do not sell personal information or engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. To exercise your rights, contact us at info@quantumrings.com. We may verify your identity before processing requests. California residents may designate an authorized agent for requests.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as needed to provide the Services or meet legal requirements. Account and billing data are kept while your account is active or as required by law. Technical and usage data, including metadata from quantum job executions, are retained to operate and improve the Services. Support communications are kept to resolve inquiries and maintain records. Compliance records (e.g., tax, audit) are stored as legally required. Quantum execution data retention (e.g., circuits, results) is addressed in Section 10.

6. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute protection.

7. International Transfers

Your personal information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries with different data protection laws. By using the Services, you consent to these transfers. We use reasonable safeguards, such as contractual measures, to protect your information as required by law.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. For significant changes, we will notify you via our website or email. Continued use of the Services after updates indicates your acceptance.

10. Quantum Execution Data

When you execute quantum jobs (i.e., run a quantum circuit and obtain results) through our Services, the handling of your quantum circuits and results depends on the execution method:

  • Local SDK Simulation: If you use the Quantum Rings SDK for local simulation, your quantum circuits and results remain on your device. We collect only metadata about the job, such as performance metrics, but do not access or store your circuits or results.
  • Hosted Simulation or Quantum Computer Execution: When we host simulations or execute circuits on quantum hardware for you, your circuits and results are transmitted through our systems. We process this data only as necessary to provide the Service and ensure its performance.
  • Public Tier (Open Quantum): If you use the public tier of the Open Quantum platform, your circuits and results are broadcast to a decentralized network of operators facilitated by our partner, qBitTensor Labs, through the bittensor network. These operators collaborate to execute your circuit and verify results before returning them to you. Your circuits and results are not confidential in this tier, and Quantum Rings retains a copy of this data for unlimited use, including research, analytics, product development, or AI training. Do not submit proprietary or sensitive information via this option.
  • Private Tier (Open Quantum): If you use the private tier, your circuits are shared only with trusted quantum hardware providers, including but not limited to, qBraid, AWS, Microsoft, IonQ, Rigetti, IQM, Quantinuum, Infleqtion, QuEra, Pasqal, and others, depending on your selected backend. We process these circuits only as needed to complete the execution and do not retain copies afterward, except for temporary processing purposes.
